Topographic Survey & Terrain Modeling — Sami, Cephalonia

Wider-area photogrammetric terrain survey around Sami, Cephalonia — orthophoto, digital terrain model, and contour lines produced in collaboration with PCVG, University of West Attica.

Brief

A wider-area photogrammetric terrain survey around Sami, Cephalonia, completed during the same site visit as the Loutró and Kríni documentation — a separate deliverable in collaboration with PCVG (Photogrammetric Computer Vision Group, University of West Attica), aimed at digitally mapping and modelling the region for research, planning, and analysis.

Method

Georgios Kougianos flew all UAV missions and led the GNSS reference network (ComNav T300 Plus, RTK), then assisted PCVG in the photogrammetric processing. Aerial imagery captured with a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise was oriented, aligned, and reconstructed into a 3D model, orthophoto, and digital terrain model, from which contour lines were derived for planning and analysis use.

Deliverables

A 3D model, orthophotography, a digital terrain model, and contour lines were produced for the wider Sami area.
