Brief
Two central squares — Agioi Theodoroi Square and Eleftherios Venizelos Square — together with Socrates Street and the service road running alongside Karamanli Avenue in Anavisos, were surveyed in 2026 for a consulting engineering firm as the geometric base for a municipal regeneration study (μελέτη ανάπλασης). The surveyed area covers roughly 19,000 m² of near-flat urban terrain.
Method
Reference control was established by GNSS, with a total station used for detail points and additional control across the site. A DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise RTK captured aerial imagery, processed in Agisoft Metashape into a georeferenced orthomosaic at 1.2 cm/pixel, solved against 10 ground-control points with an RMSE of 1.6 cm.
Given the near-flat terrain, no contour survey was required — heights were instead recorded at key detail points across the squares and road network. Fieldwork ran 3 days with a two-person survey team, followed by 5 office days for processing and deliverable preparation.
Deliverables

Detail from the survey orthomosaic — full L-shaped coverage runs from Agioi Theodoroi Square down Socrates Street to the Karamanli Avenue service road.
A georeferenced orthomosaic, a detail-point register with key elevations, and a coordinate register in EGSA87 were delivered as the geometric base for the design team. Per client agreement, the resulting CAD plans are not shown here.
